  • Overview

    The IT Manager oversees the system and IT operational support team and is responsible for the network infrastructure server platforms, information security and network administration. Provides support to IT Director to establish and implement IT direction and planning, corporate systems and security policies, procedures, standards and budgeting requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Manage, schedule and monitor the activities of the IT support team.
    • Perform and oversee administration tasks to maximize system availability and keep compliance with the NIST and DFARS cyber security standards.
    • Oversee, and/or process security and patch management of all infrastructure systems including network and server systems installed to support the overall IT environment.
    • Oversee and/or participate in the preparation of system designs, specifications for new or updated systems.
    • Consult with company management and user community in areas of information technology as it applies to their business processes.
    • To review, develop and maintain corporate security procedures. Ensure integrity of corporate computing systems to include periodic review of accounts, passwords and physical access.
    • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
    • Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres to the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Through knowledge of networking infrastructure, Vlan, VPN, communication and systems connectivity
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Active directory administration
    • Oversee and contribute to I.T. support and systems operations
    • Cyber Security practices supporting NIST and DFARS standards
    • Ability to manage vendors and a team of technical support people

    Educational / Experience Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent area of study.
    • 5 years of relevant experience defining, implementing and administering Enterprise Network Infrastructure, System and Network Security, and related Information systems for publically traded companies.
    • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • This position manages some of the employees of the department and is responsible for some employee performance management and hiring within that department.
