Seeking a Program Manager Senior to join our DDC team. 


Primary/Essential Duties:

1.       Develop plans, schedules, and budgets and identify resources required on assigned programs or projects. Identify risk areas and develop contingency plans to eliminate or mitigate risk that could result in schedule delays or failure to meet technical specification or schedule requirements

2.       Proactively manage projects to ensure work scope and budgets are maintained using EVM

3.       Promote and reinforce the principal of continuous process improvement with project team members

4.       Cultivate strong relationships with customers and the company’s senior leaders to ensure all customers and stakeholder expectations are met.

5.       Manage and coordinate the activities of Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and other personnel to ensure that all technical and delivery requirements expected by our customers are met on assigned programs or projects

6.       Interface with customers on matters such as program issues, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate all correspondence with appropriate DDC personnel (e.g. CEO, Sales, Contracts, etc.) and in a way that maintains our customer’s confidence in DDC

7.       Monitor and manage all production backlog assigned to engineering and ensure timely delivery of products. Work with appropriate engineering staff to ensure products are released from Engineering to Manufacturing backlog in a timely manner

8.       Manage the opening and closing of engineering work orders in a way consistent with DDC’s accounting system with the goal of ensuring costs are gathered accurately on each engineering project

9.       Conduct performance/project reviews during phase-down to benefit future projects and the enhancement of the PMO library

10.   Prepare project reports for both internal and external stakeholders

11.   Supervise internal program manager/administrator


Secondary Duties:

1.       Sales Support: Develop strategies coordinated with Marketing and/or Sales in support of DDC’s business goals. Lead, participate or contribute as appropriate, in the development of quotes and/or proposals that support winning new business for DDC. Make presentations to customers that directly support the winning of new business for DDC

2.       Continuous Improvement: Take the initiative to research, develop, propose, evaluate and/or implement new methods, processes, procedures, or tools that would improve the quality, timeliness, or cost effectiveness of products or services provided to DDC’s customers

3.       Hiring: Conduct in-depth interviews and make assessments and recommendations that support company goals and requirements


1.       Education/Experience. B.S.E.E. or related technical degree required, advanced technical or business degree preferred

2.       A minimum of 10 years related technical and management experience required

3.       Demonstrate strength in Program Management, Life-Cycle Management and Risk and Opportunity Management

4.       Proficient with developing integrated program plans, specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, budgets and identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources

5.       PMP certification desire

6.       Demonstrated leadership, managerial and organizational skills

7.       Demonstrated ability to develop, articulate and present technical or business information appropriately targeted to meet the needs of audiences at all levels (including technical and non-technical) and at all business levels including business executives in both written, verbal and presentation forms
